Frank "Cowboy" Hargett (1933-2011)


Frank "Cowboy" Hargett, 77, of Wills Point passed away December 23, 2011, at Hunt Regional Medical Center, Greenville. He was born on December 31, 1933, in Linden to Henry and Leona Stiguall. He spent his life time in the Linden area. He was an avid fisherman. He served in U.S. Army in Korea.

He is survived by his five children, Junior Hargett of Wills Point, Timothy Hargett and wife Brandy of Wills Point, Michael Hargett and wife Melissa of Ft. Worth, Deborah Jones Hargett and fiancé John Savage of Sherman, Kathy Cummins and husband Henry of Colbert, Okla.; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister, Georgia Patterson of Wills Point, and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Leona Hargett and five brothers, Olin Hargett, James Hargett, William Hargett, Charles Hargett and Robert Hargett.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the American Funeral Service Chapel, 107 N. Burney, Colbert, Okla. Family visitation will be at 1 -2 p.m., prior to the service on Wednesday.

Pallbearers serving are Chris Terry, Chase Vanzura, Keaton Hargett, Kendell Hargett, Henry Cummins, Dennis Patterson and Terry Hargett.
