"MRS. THAD YOUNG DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Mrs. Dorothy Bobb Young of Alhambra, Calif., wife of Thad L. H. Young who formerly lived in Smithfield, died Wednesday in a California hospital where she had been a patient since October 16.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jon W. Gateman of Seattle, Wash., and Miss Candace Young of the home; one son, Thad L. H. Young Jr. of the U. S. Air Force; and three grandchildren.
The funeral was held in Alhambra on Thursday.
Mr. Young was reared in Smithfield. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Young. He is a brother of Miss Elizabeth Young of Smithfield. Mrs. Young was reared in Alhambra.
The family resides at 1112 North Garfield Avenue, Alhambra, Calif."
Note: The funeral was actually held in Pasadena, California and the graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Aunt Daisy came out about a week before Mom died and stayed with us until after the funeral. Toby (T.L.H. Young, III)came home from Japan where he was stationed in the Air Force and arrived just a day or so before Mom died.
