Prior to joining the US Air Force, she was an EMT and paramedic-in-training in Florida. At the time of her death, she was an active-duty Senior Airman in weapons at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, NV. Her death was due to a head injury.
She was survived by her husband; 7-month-old son; mother; father; brother; sister; and uncle, aunts and cousins.
A memorial service was conducted at Nellis Air Force Base. Interment was November 7, 2011.
