Mr. Haynes, timber worker and farmer, was well known near Bland, where he spent his entire life. He had been in bad health for the past four months. He was born at Third Creek, December 20, 1874, a son of the late Barbara Barbarick and Marion Haynes, and at the time of his death he was 71 years, 10 months and 26 days of age.
He was united in marriage to Miss Rosie Carroll, on August 23, 1898 at Salem, and to this union 10 children were born; one girl and four boys, whom preceded him in death. Surviving with his wife are the following children —Marion Haynes, Owensville; Allen Haynes, Bland; Clarence Haynes, St. Louis; Mrs. Dorothy Crider, St. Louis and Mrs. Edith Austeman of St. Louis. He is also survived by two brothers, Leonard Haynes of Belle, and Jim Haynes of Owensville, and 11 grandchildren. Four sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
