Mattie is listed in Limestone Co. AL on the 1880 census in her parents home, she's age 6, born in Alabama, which makes me sure she was born in Limestone Co. According to her death cert. she was born in 1873, not 1874 as her marker indicates. Her parents were George W. Daly and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Daly. I was given the info. by a Daly relative that Lizzie's maiden name was Daly too, that her parents were 1st cousins once removed.
I haven't found a marriage record for Mattie and Henry yet but am sure they married in Alabama probably 1892 for their first 3 children are listed as being born in Alabama on the 1910 census. I haven't found Henry and Mattie yet on the 1900 census and since Mattie's mother died in 1899 then Henry and Mattie may have been on the move to Tennessee and missed the 1900 census. Their child Hassie is listed as being born in Tenn. c1901.
I found Mattie and Henry with children Lena Evelyn, Willie, Myrtle, Hassie, Lula, Lizzie, Irene Edith, Daniel, Ernest, Benjamin and Mattie E. Jackson.
I'm working on finding further info. on their children to link them to Mattie and Henry and will update, Kay.
