Mr. John Frank Usry, 89, 1423 Arsenal Avenue, Augusta, Georgia, entered into rest at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday, Augusta 11, 1964, at a local hospital after an extended illness. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Thomson Cemetery, Thomson, Georgia with the Dr. J. Estill Jones officiating. Full military honors will be accorded at the graveside. A native of Gibson, Georgia, Mr. Usry was a son of the late George and Belle Watson Usry. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War and World War I. He worked at Augusta Arsenal and Fort Gordon. He retired several years ago after being in government service since the age of 15. Survivors include his sister, Mrs. Sam Edmunds, Greensboro, N.C., and several nieces and nephews. Elliott Sons.
