Sunday, December 08, 2002 - Lilly Bell Goad passed away at her home on December 7, 2002. She was born January 4, 1914 in Brownwood, Texas and moved to New Mexico in 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard, and three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by one sister, Mary Lou Pepper of Las Cruces, two sons, Leonard Goad and his wife Ethel of Anthony, NM, Clifford Goad of Glenwood, NM, five daughters, Doris Wells, Dorothy Oursler and her husband Bill, Velda Speer and her husband Arthur, all of Las Cruces, Cleta Evans and her husband Paul of Canutillo, Judy Persing and her husband Lee of Lonsdale, Minnesota. Numerous nieces and nephews, including Charles Metts of Las Cruces also survive her. She had 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She had many friends, including two special friends, Leona Hoover and Esther Thomas. Vince Thomas from the local Congregation of Jehovah's Witness will Conduct graveside services on Tuesday, December 10, at 10:00am at Masonic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mesilla Valley Hospice. Arrangements are with Graham Mortuary, 555 W. Amador.
