Jimmie Lee Britton was the first child born to Lee and Louise Britton.

Jim inherited his dad's dry sense of humor and always seemed to find something he could crack a joke about in just about any situation. He could make his mom laugh, even when she was put out with him.

He met the love of his life, Barbara Brown, during high school and although they attended different colleges their love withstood the separation and they married June 6 1964. (Jim left us one day before their 32nd anniversary.)

Born to this union were two sons, Bradley Lee and Blake Andrew. Since Jim's death, he has been blessed with three beautiful granddaughters, Bryanna, Haley and Madison (twins). They certainly would have been the apple of his eye!

Jim was a member of the First Christian Church in Garland, Texas where he served as a deacon. He was deeply loved by his employees and associates at Haverty's Furniture Store, where he worked as a manager for many years. Jim served in Viet Nam as a member of the U. S. Army.

He is sorely missed by his family, friends and business associates.

"Perheps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy."
