Archie Hager, U.S. Army, Oakland, Cal., Staff Sgt. Fred Hager, U.S. Army in Dutch East Indies, Samuel Hager of Dayton; 3 sisters, Mrs. Bessie Houpe, Mrs. Nettie Pryor, Mrs. Mollie Navtz; 3 brothers, Clinton Hager, Aaron Hager, Lon Hager, all of Iredell Co., N.C.; 6 grandchildren. City employee. born in Iredell Co., N.C., resident of Dayton 27 yrs. Member of St Paul M. E. Church. Funeral services Wed. p.m. at the Morris funeral home, 1809 E. Third Burial Memorial Park cemetery. Rev. S. R. Martin officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening.
John had a love of wood and loved to build things. He ran a lumber mill in North Carolina and when he came to Dayton he built a wood working shop and a rock fish pond. He passed this love of wood and craftsmanship down to his family.
