Antha married at the age 13 to Ed Ward, became a widow at 32 and left with 6 children to raise.
She worked on her farm using Oxen and grew her own wheat, made her own flour and sold flour to the local stores.
She waited till all children was grown before remarrying Pat Sutton who died a few years later than she married Roy Hudson. After Roy's death she worked as a maid for a wealthy man in St Louis before retiring at age 74.
After retirement she moved back to Williamsville.
