MAURICE BAKER DIES AT AGE 72-FUNERAL FRIDAY
Maurice Baker, 72, of 3600 NW 12, died Tuesday in Veterans Administration Hospital, Services will be at 2 pm Friday at Bill Merritt Funeral Service with burial in chapel Hill Cemetery.
Baker was born in Russell, Iowa, and came to Oklahoma City in 1923. He was a dispatcher at Leeway Motor freight and a member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louise K., of Bethany Home, Inc.; two sons Herman L, Bethany, and Ed J, 5845 NW 32; three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Irene Carlton, Gainsville, GA., Mrs. Joann Matos, Moore, and Mrs. Mary Martin, Oklahoma City; three brothers,Joe H., Fresno, Calif., Lyle, Phoenix, Ariz., and Guy W., Edmonds, Wash. and two sisters, Mrs. Nevada Cox, Seymour, Iowa, and Mrs. Goldie Sims, Charlton, Iowa.
