Kermit died of a side effect of the disease, he was walking down the street and appeared to be drunk, even though he was a tea total-er. He was hit by a Home Depot truck and died about a month later because he would not stay in the hospital for treatment. He got up in the middle of the night and walked home in his hospital gown, about 15 miles. He became even more unsteady on his feet and fell and hit his head on the ground and furthered injured a bleeder in his head. Died just a couple days later. He was age 59, but had been exhibiting worsening symptoms for 15 years.
