Mrs. Nettie Blanche Bowman Garland died Saturday at the home of Mrs. John Kell, her sister. She was aged 31 years, 6 months, and 4 days. Nettie was born in Edwards Co. Il near Albion, 23 of Oct. 1897, daughter of George and Rebecca Bowman, died 27 April, 1929. Burial will take place at the Masonic and OddFellows Cemetery in Benton, IL.
Her husband, Floyd Garland, preceded her in death seven years ago. She is survived by three children, Sarah Geraldine, Almeta Thomasine, and Tiny Imogene. She is also survived by her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. George Bowman, three sisters, Mrs. Kell, Mrs. Lee Moore of West Frankfort, and Mrs. Eugene Stafford of Brookport, Illinois; and three brothers, Harry Mitchell of Matoon, Tom Bowman and Floyd Bowman of West Frankfort; and a niece, Mrs. Lee Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her husband,mother, a brother Jesse E. Hedge, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Miller.
