A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church of Porterville. The Rev. Lawrence S. Morley of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Born in Georgeville, Minn., Mrs. Tillson was a University of Minnesota graduate and taught school in Minnesota for 28 years. She had lived in Porterville 35 years where she was retired after teaching in the Burton School District for eight years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Porterville, and belonged to the Retired California Teachers Association, Manzaneta Court-Order of the Ameranth, Order of Eastern Star, the "50's Ands" choral group, the Porterville Gleaners, the Porterville Grange, and the American Association of Retired People. She was a past president of the Auxiliary of World War I. In 1972, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Tillson.
Survivors include a brother, Walter Larson of Walnut Creek; and two sisters, Ruby Adams of Porterville and Stella Rosen of Santa Rose.
