Frank Lober a former resident of Jeffersonville, who gained considerable prominence at the originator of the Liberty and Jeffersonville electric railroad project, died suddenly of heart failure at his home at 598 West 161st St., New York, last Friday night.
Funeral and burial took place in the city Monday.
Born in the town of Callicoon 40 years ago.
He left home when a boy and enlisted for service in the Civil War, after which he became a member of the New York police force.
Married in this town to Wilhelmina, only daughter of the late J Martin Schmidt of North Branch.
Mrs Lober died February 1900.
Leaves the following children all residing in New York, Miss Minnie; Louise wife of Thomas Loomis; Kate wife of Charles Wylie; Harry and Frank.
