John Raymond Parrish, 63, died suddenly Saturday morning at his home at the Riley Trailer Court, Highway 24, West.

He had retired five years ago from the Wabash Railroad, having been a water service man. He was born in Monroe County on Nov. 3, 1901.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Hubert Harmon, Mooresville, Ind.; one brother, Si Parrish, Shelbyville; four sisters, Mrs. Guy Gaines, Madison; Mrs. Ruby Robinson and Mrs. Anna Lou Jackson, Paris; and Mrs. Ethel Hardwick, Moberly; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Moberly, burial in Bethel Cemetery at Holliday.
