Albert, the son of Heinrich “Henry” Carl Wilhelm Stahlhut and Mary ‘Wiehe’ Stahlhut was born Oct. 15, 1907 in Dayton Twp., Bremer County, Iowa and had been employed as a machinist at the John Deere Tractor company in Waterloo for the past five years. He is survived by his widow, Barbara “Betty Fitz’ Stahlhut, one brother, Henry Stahlhut of Waterloo, five sisters, Mrs. Erwin (Mathilda) Sell, Mrs. Ed (Mertie) Meyer, Mrs. Henry (Emma) Behrens, Mrs. Emil (Minnie) Gade, and Mrs. Harold (Celinda) Rundle all of Sumner.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo, the pastor, Rev. W. D. Oetting officiated and burial is in Fairview cemetery. Mr. Stahlhut's father Henry, passed away November5, just two weeks earlier.
