She was the daughter of William Duke and Sarah (Draper)Duke (from Family Tree). She was one of several children. She is listed in 1860 Hardeman Co. TN census, being 13y. Family Tree shows her mother died 1862, TN, but her grave has not been located. Wm. H. Duke remarried and moved to Arkansas where he is found 1880 Pike Co. AR.
Nancy J. was the wife of Rev. William Coggins--m. 09 Dec. 1864, TN.
On censuses, she was Nancy and "Nannie" which was probably a nickname.
