Robert "Bob" Carroll passed away at his residence Sunday evening, Dec. 25, 2011.
He was born in Sulphur Springs on May 17, 1927, the son of Leander Craton Carroll and Maidie Pearl (Giddens) Carroll.
He married Betty Ruth Gillham in Sulphur Springs in 1953. She preceded him in death in 2003.
Mr. Carroll was a retired washer/dryer repairman with Sears Roebuck. He was a member of Davis Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Catherine Finnell and husband, John, of Waxahachie, and one sister, Jo Nell Cleveland of Baytown.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be made to Davis Street Baptist Church and/or Conner Cemetery Association.
