Patricia Harper Healey, 61, died in San Diego, California on December 30, 2003 after a brief and courageous struggle with cancer. A memorial service celebrating Patsy ' s life and contributions to the community will be held in late January in San Diego. She will be buried at Springdale Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. Patsy lived a life balanced according to Taoist teachings, embracing harmony, love, and learning. Patsy was born in Mexico City, Mexico on January 27, 1942. She was raised in Cuba, Venezuela, and Colombia, and Connecticut in the U.S. She studied at the University of Michigan, Mexico City College, and the Monterey Institute for International Studies. After living in New York City for several years, Patsy moved to San Diego, where she resided for 30 years. Patsy was an Administrative Grievance Procedure Specialist and the author of a guide to employment grievance processes. As a grievance consultant, she assisted several hundred individuals to resolve employee grievances. Always concerned for the well-being of others, Patsy served in recent years as a volunteer ombudsman for the San Diego County Ombudsman Program.
