Mrs. Herman Buse passed away at Our Lady of Mercy hospital at Alexandria last Saturday, Mar. 2, 1946 after suffering from an illness of about ten months.
Lena Wilm was born in Millerville township on Aug. 19, 1887 and was at the time of her passing away 58 years, 6 months and 13 days. She was married to Herman Buse at the Evangelical Trinity Lutheran church at Millerville on April 28, 1915 and has always lived in Millerville township.
Those who live to survive her are her husband, Herman Buse and the following children: (Adeline) Mrs. Fred Hagedorn of Alexandria; Alice, Carl and Marvin at home, Howard of Hershey, Pa., and Richard with the U.S. Navy and three grandchildren. Also the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Edward Schendel of Bremerton, Wash.; Mrs. John Bjerkebek of Fergus Falls; Mrs. John Van Den Bassche of Springfield, Ill.; Mrs. Frank Gunther of Alexandria; Matt Wilm of Fergus Falls and Joe Wilm of Browns Valley. Also surviving are her foster sisters and brothers: Otto and Walter Wilken of Brandon; Mrs. Victor Eastman of Fergus Falls; Aaron Wilken of Minneapolis and Mrs. Roy Vipon of Washington. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Mar. 5 at 2 o'clock from the Buse residence and at 2:30 from the Evangelical Trinity church of Millerville with Rev. E. E. Bauman officiating. The pallbearers were Walter Klien, rudolph Klien, Herman Jante, Hubert Carlson, Herman Priese and Willmar Gliebe. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
