CLOVIS, N.M. - Final rites for Mrs. Fern E. Stecker, 78, who moved to Clovis in 1910, were held Saturday afternoon at First United Methodist Church with Dr. J. Harold Cates, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Lawn Haven Cemetery by Steed Todd Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stecker, who came to New Mexico when she was 11, died Wednesday evening in Memorial Hospital.

Her family homesteaded in the Elida area southwest of Clovis.

Surviving are her husband, Andy; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Guilbeau of Odessa, Tex., and Mrs. Mildred Guy of Clovis; a son, Allen of Albuquerque; two sisters, Mrs. Muriel Trimm of Clovis and Mrs. S.J. Timmons of Albuquerque; a brother, Ray Allen of Vaughn; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
