Mrs. Mary Adda Buchanan, wife of George W. Buchanan, died at her home on Ridge Street, Mapleton, Friday afternoon, July 26, 1929 after five months illness. She was born in Mapleton, a daughter of Andrew and Catherine McMullen (both deceased) on June 4, 1876, hence was aged 53 years and 1 month. Ada was a faithful and consistent member of the United Brethren Church of Mapleton for a number of years and also was active in Sunday School work. Ada and George were married September 12, 1893 and had seven children: Cloyd, Viola, Annie Grace, Albertice, Clarence, Edna, and Martha.
