Margie Louise Lewis was born in Depew, Oklahoma, on December 5, 1936. She was the daughter of Loran Wilson and Ruth Naomi (Leonard) Ailey. She grew up in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, attending Tonkawa Public Schools and graduated from Tonkawa High School in 1957. She then moved to Houston, Texas, where she married Curtis H. French. In 1970 moved back to Kay County. In November 2007 she moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma. She was a waitress for many restaurants in Kay County including Bob's Grill in Blackwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Eveline Ailey, and her husband.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Allen Koehn of Independence, Kansas; one sister, Sally Weingartner of Enid, Oklahoma; seven brothers, Loran (Toby) Ailey of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Floyd Ailey of Nardin, Oklahoma, Everett Ailey of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Earl Ailey of Cushing, Oklahoma, Mike Ailey of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Wesley Ailey of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Bob Ailey of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and one grandchild, Jessie Koehn of Independence, Kansas.

Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at the Church of Christ in Blackwell, Oklahoma, with Lanny Jobe officiating.
