David spent most of his later years in the mining industry for gold. His mining adventures took him to Alaska, Canada and finally to Honduras where spent the last 15 years.
His love for underprivileged children of Honduras was great and with the help of his Lord he was able to feed and cloth many of them until they were placed in good homes. He called Longview his home, where his mother and sister live.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter H. Wright, Sr., brothers, Walter H. Wright, Jr. and Gayland D. Wright, Sr.
