Carole Jean Hunnicutt Jarvis was the second child of Charles and Helen Hunnicutt. She was born on September 28, 1937 in Burke County, NC. At the age of six, the family moved to Buncombe County, NC where she lived for many years. She met and married Rev. Guy Jarvis, Jr. and together they had four children, Patricia Darlene, Guy Everette III, William Merrell and Mirriam Elizabeth. She had fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Carole was a strong woman who overcame many health issues, as her faith in God never wavered. She was truly a blessing to everyone who had the good fortune of crossing her path. She had been looking forward to joining Jesus and her family in Heaven for several months. Her wish came true on Christmas Eve, 2011. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. We look forward to seeing her again.

God Saw You Getting Tired

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered,
"Come to Me"

With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
