She was a seamstress for various mills in the Lehigh Valley.
Born in Upper Saucon Township, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Tavilla (Cope) Strauss.
She was a member of Ebenezer New Reformed Church, Bethlehem R.4.

Beck of Coopersburg, stepdaughters, Doris, wife of Glenn Holschwander of Coopersburg, and Joan Forrest of Center Valley, and eight step-grandchildren.
