She was a seamstress for various mills in the Lehigh Valley.
Born in Upper Saucon Township, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Tavilla (Cope) Strauss.
She was a member of Ebenezer New Reformed Church, Bethlehem R.4.
Survivors: Brothers, George M. Strauss of Cape Coral, Fla., William J. Strauss of Bethlehem, LeRoy W. Meyers of Riegelsville R.1, Willis H. Meyers of Center Valley R.3 and Franklin P. Strauss of Slatington; sisters, Marion B., wife of Stephen Kilian Jr., and Ruth M., wife of Emmett A. Tyson, both of Center Valley, and Arlene B., wife of LaMar C. Beck of Coopersburg, stepdaughters, Doris, wife of Glenn Holschwander of Coopersburg, and Joan Forrest of Center Valley, and eight step-grandchildren.
