Marguerite Adams, 82, New Castle resident, passed away Friday, Dec. 16,2011, at her residence. She was born Aug. 31,1929, in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late William E. and Lemmie (Franklin) Jenkins.

She was a lifelong resident of New Castle. She was a 1991 graduate of New Castle High School. She had worked for the New Castle Developmental Center,Westminster House and R.C.A. in Indianapolis.

She was very involved with family activities and was a care giver for several family memberts. She had been involved in the Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of America as a Brownie and Cub Scout Leader. She was an active member of the First Friends Meeting Church. She was also the leader of the Neighborhood Crime Watch.

Left to cherish her memory include;three children,Jo Ellen (Peter) Rogowski of Cohoes New York,Richard Allen (Sharon) Adams of New Castle and Anna McGrady of New Castle; six grandchildren, Stephen W. Watson Jr., Jill Marie (Michael) Guenther, Chad Allen Adams, Misty Dawn Nicholson, Ab Nicole Adams and Andy Allen Adams; 10 great-grandchildren, Joshua Stephen Watson, Elizabeth Dawn Guenthier, Ty Austin Wade Adams, Skylar James Nicholson, Cole Matthew Nicholson, Michael James Guenther, Alexa Su Nicholson, Victoria Michelle Guenther, Matthew Richard Guenther and Alexander Jack Guenther; one sister, Martha Ann Masters of New Castle; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Jenkins of Calif. and Marlene Moore of New Castle; two nephews, Richard (Connie) Masters of New Castle and Jeff Moore of New Castle; two nieces, Jara Lee (Dave) Minnick of New Castle and Peggy Sue Neal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Adams; her mother, Lemmie Sweigart; her father,William E. Jenkins; one granddaughter, Jo Ellen Watson ;her step-father, Willard Sweigart; one sister, Francis Marie Van Deventer; and three brothers, William Jenkins ,Kenneth Jenkins and J. Edward Jenkins.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Macer-Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at the funeral home with Rev. Eric Hickman officiating. Burial will take place in South Mound Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice or Susan G. Koman Cancer Foundation.
