CHARLIE J. DAVENPORT
Charlie J. Davenport, 60, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 19, 2001. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 21 at Old Fashioned Independent Baptist Church, with burial in Baker Cemetery. Donnie Humphrey officiated.
Mr. Davenport was born Jan. 22, 1941, in Cumberland County.
He was a truck driver.
Survivors include his mother, Ida Davenport of Crossville; daughter, Ruth Davis of Crossville; sons and daughters-in-law, Rocky and Regina Davenport, Stoney and Becky Davenport, and Jason and Kelly Davenport, all of Crossville; brothers, Odell Davenport and Michael Davenport, both of Crossville; sisters, Linda Howard, Barbara Brown and Lorene Kessler, all of Crossville; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Davenport; brothers, Archy Davenport and Avery Davenport; and sisters, Anna Lou Wade, Elizabeth Campbell and Deanna Harville.
Pallbearers were Michael Harville, Mitchell Hodgin, Howard Wolfrom, James Vandever, Dudley Emerson and Lee Walker.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
