GALESBURG -- Ruth L. Baldwin, 87, of 275 E. Carl Sandburg Drive died at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 1992, at Cottage Hospital. Born Aug. 31, 1904, to Otto W. and Mae Hand DeHass, she married Lewis J. Baldwin on June 17, 1925, in Galesburg. He died Oct. 28, 1975. Surviving is one brother, Ray DeHass of San Diego. She retired from the telephone company. A member of First United Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors of America and Women of the Moose, she was a member and past president of Woman's Relief Corp. 121, all in Galesburg. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at East Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg. The Rev. David Eadie will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to her church.
