"Howe Woman Killed on Hoagland Crossing" Mrs Mildred SHEFFER(sic), 33, Howe IN, was instantly killed at 4 PM Christmas afternoon, when the automobile in which she and her husband, Earl SHEAFFER, were riding, was hit by a freight train on the PA RR at Hoagland Crossing. Mr SHEAFFER is in the Lutheran hospital, Ft Wayne (IN), in a critical condition, suffering internal injuries.
