W.K. Cook Dies At Leonard
LEONARD (Spl) - William Kindrick Cook, 83, retired farmer, died in a Leonard rest home Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1967. He had been in declining health some time.
Funeral services will be held at the Grove Hill Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Oran Sigler, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Leonard, and Ottis Proffitt, Church of Christ minister Whitesboro, officiating. Interment will be in the Grove Hill cemetery, Wilson Funeral home directing.
Mr. Cook was born Dec. 12, 1883, at Grove Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Cook. He married Cora Cordell Noble, Feb. 12, 1908, in Leonard. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church.
Survivors are his widow; a son, Noble Cook of Leonard; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home between 7 and 8 p.m. tonight.
Active pallbearers will be Harold Sikes, Neel Berry, Bob Crow, Richard Thornton, Sam Crow and A. L. McMurray.
