Robert L. Young, a prominent farmer of near Boyds, died on Friday evening about 8:10 o'clock of a complication of diseases. His age was 74 years, 9 months, and 23 days.

He was a native of Middletown Valley and was born November 4 1862. He moved to Montgomery County in 1876 and since engaged in farming. He was widely known throughout the section in which he lived.

He is survived by six children, C. Wade, William Malcolm, R. Samuel, J. Olin Young and Miss Irene Young, Boyds' and Mrs. Edmund Wettengel, Bethesda. Three sisters, Mrs. Mollie R. Young, Chevy Chase; Mrs. Irene Reid and Mrs. Zourie P. Wade, of Buck Lodge and one brother, Samuel P. Young, Buck Lodge, with five grandchildren, also survive.
