Not much is known about Isaac Lincoln. He seems to have lived much of his life in Scituate, Massachusetts, as all his children (from both wives) were born there. Isaac was about 26 when his first child was born, and about 50 when his last child was born. His death is not recorded in "Vital Records of Scituate, Massachusetts to the Year 1850", so perhaps he moved to another township later in life. Some sources state his death at 1792 in Scituate, but I cannot confirm that. The death of his wives and the death of virtually all of his children are also not recorded in "Vital Records of Scituate, Massachusetts to the Year 1850", although presumably Abigail, his first wife, died there as their last child was born in Scituate and the first child (John) with his second wife, Mary, was also born in Scituate about three years later. The death of Isaac's first child, Solomon, is recorded in "Vital Records of Scituate, Massachusetts to the Year 1850".

The birth of Abigail Mellus (1712), Isaac's first wife, is documented in "History of Scituate, Massachusetts", pages 310-311. The birth of Mary Neall, Isaac's second wife, is unknown.
