George Washington Baker was born on 29 Mar 1779 in Wilkes, NC & died 14 Aug. 1846 in Linn County, MO. He married Esther Robertson 13 Jul 1800 in Garrard Co., KY. (Ancestry.com has this marriage record). They were living in Morgan County, IN by 1830, as were many of the Kentucky Bakers, but they moved on to Linn, Missouri by 1840 with many, many other Bakers & kin who moved there. George W. Baker also obtained land in Linn, MO and performed weddings there. George W. Baker was not a Rev. War soldier as he was not even born when the war began.
