Susie Maye Fearnot Henderson, age 93, of 2804 Union St. Lafayette, died at 9:55 p.m. Monday, May 22, in Murdock Manor. She was born in Ilene (near Marco, grew up in Greene County and moved to Lenox, Iowa in 1924 where she married on Jan 26, 1928. Her husband Earl M. Henderson and her 2 children, Verla Henderson Crouch and Melvin E. Henderson preceded her in death.She returned to Indiana in May 1990. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Ira and Dorcas Whitworth Fearnot, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
Mrs. Henderson was a member of the Marco United Methodist Church, the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliaries in Lenox. She was an avid quilter and avid genealogist. She kept records of all family history that many sent to her from Indiana.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Pansy (John) Smith of Lafayette and a brother Charles D. Fearnot of Erie, PA and many neices and nephews.
Friends may call 5-8 pm Friday, Jenkins Funeral Home, Bloomfield with services there 10am Sat. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
