Nadine Powell, age 79, of Sawmill Rd, Jamestown, KY died Monday, January 29th, 2007, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. She was the daughter of the late Larue and Bessie Kimbler Ballanger. Two sons preceded her in death: Bennie Powell, Jr. and Gary Powell. Mrs. Powell is survived by her husband, Bennie Powell of Jamestown; two daughters Laverne Powell Hadley (Dwan) of Columbia KY, and Sherry Bowmar of Jamestown KY; two sons Donnie Powell (Barbara) of Jamestown KY, and Calvin Powell (Debbie) of Russell Springs KY; one brother Homer Lee Ballenger of Columbia KY; one sister Jerelene Cummings of Jamestown KY. Four grandchildren also survived Christopher Powell, Todd Powell, Denisha Powell Rawlings, and Joshua Powell. The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Wilson Funeral Home in Russell Springs KY. Bro. Alvin Young and Lowell Cummings officiated the service. Pallbearers were Chris Powell, Todd Powell, Joshua Powell, Stevie Ballenger, Billy Holt, and Randall Hammond. Interment was in the Helm Loy Cemetery.
