Mrs. Emma Shurtz, who came to Longview about a month ago from Boise, Idaho, for her health, passed away early this morning from a heart ailment, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.W. Lewis (Myrtle Shurtz). She had been seriously ill for the past two weeks. Survivors are the widower, Arthur P. Shurtz; two daughters, Mrs. W.B. Dunster (Tressa Shurtz) and Miss Ruby Shurtz, and a son, Marvin, all of Boise; two brothers, Walter Roland, Caldwell, Ida., and Ernest Roland, Portland, and the daughter who resides here. Mrs. Shurtz was 63 years of age. She was born in Kansas City. Services were July 11, 1936. Interment was in Longview Memorial Park. Backeberg and Son Funeral home was in charge.
