Born in Riverside on 5/29/1910, he was an avid sports fisherman. Charles served in the military as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Corp of Engineers during WWII and retired from the County of San Bernardino after 50 years of service. He owned several commercial properties in downtown Riverside and was a board member in the RDP and Trujillo Water Company.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sarah M. Garner; daughters Sarah Anne Garner and Mary L Hamilton, and 5 grandchildren.
Memorial Services commence at 10am at the Preston & Simons Mortuary; burial is to follow at Olivewood Cemetery on December 21, 2011.
