Mrs. Henry L. Nichols Dies At Hospital
Mrs. Henry L. Nichols, 70, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Taylor died at 7 o'clock this morning at the Ephraim McDowell hospital after a short illness.
She was a life-long and active member and past president of the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was a member of the Centenary Methodist church and was a graduate of old Caldwell College in 1912.
Surviving are her husband, former Danville Mayor Henry L. Nichols; two daughters, Mrs. J. Elmer Sims, Harrodsburg, and Mrs. Ebb Bell, Danville; five sisters Mrs. F. Powell Cheek , and Mrs. Jackson Davis, both of Danville, Mrs. Arthur Colburn, Cincinnati, Mrs. James Yowell, Hustonville; and Mrs. Robert Harberson, Indianapolis, Ind, and three grandchildren, Boone Nichols, John and Henry Sims.
Mrs. Nichols had spent her entire life to Boyle county.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Thursday afternoon at the Stith Funeral Home. Dr. Albert Sweazy and Dr. Ralph Wesley will be in charge of the services. The body is at the funeral home and the burial will be in Bellevue cemetery.
