Obituary: The Portland Oregonian, December 27, 1991
A funeral for Dora Boston, a King City resident, will be at 11:00am Saturday in the chapel of Portland Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Portland Memorial Mausoleum.
Mrs. Boston died of causes related to age Wednesday in a Portland care center. She was 89.
She was born May 12, 1902, in Mason City, Neb. Her maiden name was Hauck. She was a station master for Burlington Northern Railroad for 17 years before moving to the Portland area from Nebraska in 1943.
Mrs. Boston owned and operated a restaurant in Northwest Portland area for a number of yars. She later moved to Junction City and worked for the University of Oregon. Upon retiring, she returned to the Portland area in 1974.
Her husband, Charles Boston, died in 1978.
She is survived by her sons, Harold Blanchard of Portland and Raymon Blanchard of Modesto, Calif.; sister, Gertrude Carmichael of King City; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Lions Club in King City.
