Robert "Mack" Watts, 69, a resident of the Vernonia community died Tuesday evening, December 6, 2011 at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Buxton Cemetery; off NW Stanley Rd in Buxton, OR.

Mack was born on July 16, 1942 in Riverside, Mich. He was one of fourteen children born to James and Bessie (Dunigan) Watts. Mack lived with his family while they followed the crops throughout the Midwest and west coast. In 53 they settled into the North Plains area and Mack attended high School at Hillsboro Hil High.

He met his wife, Alma W. "Deanie" Smith they were married on November 25, 1960 and they made their home in North Plains, OR. In 1966 they moved to Buxton were they made their home for 24 years until they moved to their present home in Vernonia.

Mack and his wife had owned and operated a second hand store, "R&R Trading Post" in Cornelius and at the Timber Junction he retired in 2004.

Among his interest he enjoyed collecting antiques, working on cars and small engines. He also enjoyed animals, the outdoors and listening to gospel music. He liked to laugh and joke and was always there to help his friends and neighbors.

He is preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings and one grandchild.

Survivors include his loving wife; Deanie of the family home, four children and their spouses; Robert and Dlisa Watts of Vernonia, OR, George and Marcia Bergstrom of Buxton,OR, Steve and Lorene Watts of Buxton,OR, Jeff and Bennette Watts of Vernonia,OR, twelve grandchildren; George jr, Cassi, Jessica, Dusty, Kody, Amanda, Travis, Amy, Steven, Caton, Lowell, Alden, five great grandchildren and six siblings.

The family suggests donations in Mack's name to Oregon Humane Society.
