Mary Victoria Chennault, 89, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at Baptist Retirement Center in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, at the Altus City Cemetery.

Mary was a graduate of Ozark High School and attended Altus Junior College. She married John Edward Chennault on Easter Sunday, March 28, 1937.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed having friends and relatives in her home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; one brother, Amel Jones; six sisters, Mae Jones, Marva Ree Niles, Alberta Jones, Feddie Lee Payne, Myrna Holdridge and Bobbie Hamilton.
Mary is lovingly survived by her two sons, the Rev. Henry Lee Chennault and wife Maxine of Aiken, S.C., and the Rev. John Victor Chennault and wife Judy of El Reno; four grandchildren, Mark Chennault and wife Beverly of Las Vegas, Nev., Mike Chennault and wife Becky of Aiken, Kristi Chennault of Tulsa, and Misti Cussen and husband Kyle of Broken Arrow; and nine great-grandchildren.
