A native of Hendersonville, N.C., Mr. Albea was the son of the late Baker Warren and Florence Kilpatrick Albea. He lived in Aiken for 40 years. Most of that time he operated the J. Gaston Albea Jewelry Store, retiring in 1960. Mr. Albea was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion. He served with the Wildcat Division during World War One.
Survivors include a foster, son Bussey Albea of Aiken; one brother, J. Louis Albea of Hendersonville, N.C.; one nephew, John L. Albea of Hendersonville.
Funeral services will be conducted from the First Baptist Church at 4:30 Monday afternoon by the Rev. Austin Roberts, D.D., assisted by the Rev. Raymond Phillips Jr.
Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
