MONTINIERI, Leona (Duchesne)
Leona (Duchesne) Montinieri, 72, of Hartford, beloved wife of Joseph Montinieri, died Thursday, (August 24, 2000) at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Emile and Louise (Bedard) Duchesne and has lived in the area all of her life. She retired after many years of service from Woman's American ORT. She was a member of W.A.A.B.I., Barry Square Seniors, Son's of Italy Ella Grasso Lodge, St. Francis Better Breathing Clinic and Northern Connecticut Woman's Bowling League. Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, Joseph Jr. and his wife, Kathleen Montinieri of Stillwater, NY, Michael Montinieri of Hartford, Frank and his wife, Sandra Montinieri of Newington, Steven Montinieri of Willimantic; two daughters, Linda Pandolfo and Sandra and her husband, Timothy Dillon, all of Windsor; a very special niece and her husband, Paula and Arthur Massa of Wethersfield; a brother, Maurice Duchesne of Wethersfield; a sister, Ruth Girard of Southwick, MA; 19 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, August 28, at 8:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 9 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends may call at the Funeral Chapel on Sunday, August 27, 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06118, or to St. Francis Hospital Better Breathing Clinic, 114 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105.
