Survivors are: wife, Eunice of Grand Island; daughters and son-in-law, Christine L. and Rich Johnson of Grand Island and Wendy L. Alexander of Grand Island; grandsons, Alex J. and Andrew C. Johnson of Grand Island; nephew, Dr. Scott Alexander of Dallas and a host of relatives and friends.
Ron grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1962. After high school he graduated from Trade School in Milford, studying automobile repair and transmissions. He was united in marriage to Eunice Hague on Feb. 12, 1967, in Bellevue. The couple lived their entire married lives in Grand Island. Ron owned and operated Ron's Transmission in Grand Island for the last 35 years.
Ron was a member of the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA). He enjoyed auto racing, camping, working with woods and metals, but his biggest enjoyment was his time with family, especially his grandsons.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Dick Alexander, and his nephew, Troy Alexander.
Burial was in the Grand Island City Cemetery, Grand Island, NE.
