Cortland Standard - Obit: DeRuyter - Services for Howard W. Mauzy, 85, a former resident of Cuyler, who died in Franklin, W. VA., Friday will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home by the Rev. Edgar L. Kinner tomorrow. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Mauzy lived on a farm in Cuyler for 50 years until he went to West Virginia about a year ago. A native of Franklin, he was the son of James C. and Mary Judy Mauzy. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert Law of Cortland and Mrs. Leslie Crandall of Cincinnatus: two sons, Ray Mauzy of Cuyler and Casper of Cortland: a sister, Miss Vadie Mauzy of West Virginia; two brothers, Fred and Luther of West Virginia: 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience.
