Alice Louella Beechler, 88, of Greenfield, died Tuesday. Oct. 3, 2006, at the Greenfield Area Medical Center. Born June 15, 1918, in Ross County, she was the daughter of Charles Kerr and Addie (Toker) Kerr.
She is survived by a foster son, Gary (Linda) Cottrill of Bainbridge; a foster daughter, Betty Lawson of Chillicothe; three grandsons, Bill Murphy of Greenfield, Robert Murphy of Jacksonville, Fla., and Roger (Liz) Murphy of Mayport, Fla.; two foster grandsons, Brian Cottrill of Portland, Ore., and Mathew Cottrill of Bainbridge; four great-grandchildren, Alyson, Natalee, Mason and Alex; one brother-in-law, Ernest Beechler of Greenfield; one sister-in-law, Edna Ward of Greenfield; one son-in-law, Jeff Murphy of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar F. Beechler, who preceded her on Nov. 30, 1988; one daughter, Evelyn Murphy; five sisters, one brother and both parents.
Services were entrusted to Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield, Ohio.
