From the records of Caroline Swanson Bosworth Bunn compiled from correspondence and written documents of the family:
Born to Nancy Etheridge and a BUNN, who was named David T according to W.T.'s death certificate. It is at present impossible to know with certainty which David T. Bunn this is.
1. William Thomas BUNN (FAG #62555722) is the first born of the family. Married Matilda DUKE EMERSON the widow of Josiah Bunn who was born in England, Great Britain. Matilda's daughter, Nancy Emerson married John Samuel BUNN.
Then in order come the following siblings:
2. sister: Nancy (aka Nant) Bunn (FAG- #82067650)- married Shade STEWART
3. sisters: Jane Bunn & 4. Polly Bunn: One of these sisters married a DUKE who was one of Matilda's DUKE EMERSON BUNN's brothers. Also, one of these sisters married an ADCOCK.
5. brother: Noah Bunn possibly born in 1842: was with the Confederate Forces of Tennessee during the Civil War. Wounded at the Battle of Franklin, TN on November 30th, 1864, and died two days later on Dec 2, 1864, age 22 years.
6. brother: Burl Bunn died as a small boy.
7. brother: Isral Gulege Bunn (FAG #62555559) born July 28, 1848, in or near to Waverly TN in Humphrey County; although he was only 16 years old, he joined the Confederate Forces of Tennessee but his brother, Noah sent him home. Married Lucindy KNOTT. His second marriage was to Minnie BECTON.
8. John Samuel (FAG #223482893) was then next born 4-1-1849; The family historians regard John Samuel as the youngest sibling. He married Nancy EMERSON who was John's eldest brother's stepdaughter.
Some family members remember with uncertainty other siblings as Laura, Betty and Jess but they all agree that WT was the eldest sibling and John Samuel was the youngest.
