The funeral of W. T. Nelson, the aged rancher who died suddenly in the Leavenworth station Monday night took place at Hall's undertaking parlors yesterday afternoon. Rev. Adams officiated. Interment was in Wenatchee cemetery.

William Thomas Nelson was born on September 9, 1846, in Bainbridge, Indiana, the child of John Davis Nelson and Mary Vickrey. He married Clara Catherine Colburn on October 12, 1871, in Sigourney, Iowa. They raised four children during their 51 year marriage. William was the son of John Davis Nelson (1819-1851) and Mary E Vickery (1824-1891) prominent land owners and ranchers of that area. He sometimes went as W. T. on the Land Records but in the Obituary column of The Wenatchee Daily World, dated September 5, 1907 it stated: Funeral of Mr. Nelson: The funeral of W. T. Nelson, the aged rancher who died suddenly in the Leavenworth station Monday night, took place at Hall's undertaking parlors yesterday afternoon. Rev. Adams officiated.
